About our founder

Fethia Zrari has been in the teaching profession for nearly 30 years, taking on roles as tutor, lecturer, trainer and mentor. Since launching the Medway Arabic School, Fethia has designed and led the curriculum to her students, while being a strong promoter of British values as part of the Islamic faith. She is an active member of her community, working alongside mainstream primary and secondary schools in Medway as well as   organising fund-raising events that support local charities such as Medway Foodbank, Shelter and Crisis.

Fethia has also conducted comparisons on different translations of Riyadu Al Salihin, Sahih Al Bukhari and The 40 Hadeeths of Imam Al-Nawawi.  Through meticulous research and a strong background in Arabic language teaching and Islamic studies, she has identified, reviewed, and sourced up to date, appropriate resources to meet the educational and spiritual needs of today’s British Muslim youth.

Since 2015, over 400 young people in Medway and Kent have benefited from a holistic Islamic education through Fethia’s groundbreaking methods. 

​

​During the pandemic of 2020 Medway Arabic School also created online learning so students from age Reception to GCSE could still continue with their studies, whilst the world was in lockdown.  

 

Fethia also is a qualified ESOL Lecturer (English for Speakers of Other Languages ) and has extensive experience with UK students from all over the world.  She now offers online English courses to those wishing to improve their skills in the English language.

Fethia is an approved mental first aider for schools. She is also an Advanced Therapeutic Practitioner, helping children and young adults with emotional issues. She has a proven record of developing and applying innovative teaching techniques and materials, that not only educate but also create interest, understanding and enthusiasm amongst her students. Her style of teaching and guiding also means that she is able to deliver individual support to her students and provide a high personalised learning experience.
