The school’s syllabus are created, designed and delivered in a way that complies with the National Curriculum, while also meeting the individual language needs of the students. This ensures that the students are prepared to perform well in their mainstream education as well as understanding the foundations of the Islamic faith.

The Medway Arabic School Curriculum strives to help students:

• understand and respond to spoken and written Arabic from a wide variety of authentic sources

• speak with increasing confidence, fluency and spontaneity, finding different methods of communication through discussing, asking questions, while continually improving the accuracy of their pronunciation and intonation

• write at varying length, for different purposes and audiences, using the variety of grammatical structures they have learnt

• discover and develop an appreciation for a range of writing in the Arabic language

• prepare for Edexcel Arabic GCSE

 

Since its launch, Medway Arabic School has received an overwhelmingly positive response and is now a leading supplementary school in Kent for teaching Arabic. Classes are taught from Reception to GCSE level, where Arabic is not only learned to gain knowledge of the Holy Quran, but where it is promoted as a modern foreign language. According to the World Economic Forum, Arabic is the fifth most powerful language in the world, and will continue to climb the ranks as trade continues to expand into the Arab region.
